A Florida Man Saves A Puppy Dragged Into A Pond By Alligator

A Florida man is drawing praise for saving his new dog from the jaws of an alligator. Richard Willbanks was just enjoying the sun when he heard his new puppy, Gunner, crying. An alligator in his backyard pond had grabbed his dog and pulled it into the water. Willbanks, an avid hunter reacted quickly and jumped into the pond. Then, he grabbed the small alligator and pulled his jaws open so Gunner, who was only a 3-month-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, could escape. Willbanks told the WBBH that he only got a few cuts from the rescue, and the puppy is okay. "He had the dog and he is covered in blood,” said Wilbanks wife. His heroic efforts to save his puppy from an alligator's grasp were captured on camera. What a heroic man!
