CHALLENGE 1# January 25, 2021 - April 1, 2021

TOPIC: Seasons

Do you have snow in your area? The world looks so different, doesn't it? Roads, trees, houses, grass, telephone poles.... everything is covered in a blanket of white. You don't see many squirrels scurrying around, and maybe birds are migrating. Next time you take a walk, grab a camera and a notebook. Snap pictures and scribble down observations. Keep a log for every single day with the differences and similarities. As spring arrives, snow melts, animals return and flowers bloom. Keep the same log through spring and create a Venn diagram or report on the differences and similarities. You can also create a slideshow. You can also do winter life v.s. spring life. Send us an email at contactus@thinkerpaws.com with your work. Include your first name and last initial (optional: city, state, country, or age)

P.S. You don't need snow to do this one!

CHALLENGE 2# January 25, 2021 - December 31, 2021

TOPIC: Gardening

Choose your favorite fruit or vegetable. Do you buy that from the store? Yes? You don't have to go to the grocery store for fresh food: your own backyard is waiting! This challenge requires you to grow a fruit, vegetable, or herb by yourself and use it to cook a meal. Use a plant that can grow fast (no apple trees!) so you can finish by the deadline. Although it is preferable for you to grow by seed, you can also buy a seedling to raise. Send us a picture of your plant's life cycle and the meal you cooked at contactus@thinkerpaws.com. Include your first name and last initial (optional: city, state, country, or age.) Bon appetit!

CHALLENGE #3 January 25, 2021 - August 30, 2021

TOPIC: Biodiversity

Go for a hike or walk along a trail, and send us a narration of your adventures at contactus@thinkerpaws.com with your work and pictures. Look at the plants and animals around you and take a pictures of or draw some unusual or unfamiliar ones. Include your first name and last initial (optional: city, state, country, or age)
